Brittani Ali, BA, BSW, MSW, RSW
Britt works primarily with perinatal mental health, relationships (relational health, relational trauma), self-worth, navigating parenthood, neurodivergence, unpacking childhood experiences (inner child/relationship or attachment patterns/wounds/unmet needs), body-image, people pleasing, perfectionism, anxiety and those who are processing adverse, difficult or traumatic experiences.
It is a special interest of hers to support individuals as they navigate family dynamics, childhood experiences, parent/child relationships as they become adults, including through the perinatal period as clients become parents themselves. She's also interested in supporting neurodivergent parents.

She has trained in and primarily uses EMDR and IFS (parts work).. Her work is otherwise informed by compassionate inquiry and narrative therapy. She is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist™ and EMDRIA Approved Consultant in Training (CIT).

She participates in ample ongoing training and approx. 3-5 hours of supervision/consultation on a monthly basis.
She also has the following degrees and additional credentials:
-
BA in Child and Youth Studies from Brock University
-
BSW from The University of Victoria
-
MSW from Wilfrid Laurier University
-
EMDRIA Certified Therapist™ (click the badge to learn more about what this means)
"It's like the great stories, the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad has happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing this shadow, even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines, it'll shine out the clearer." - JRR Tolkien
On a personal note...
Britt lives in Niagara with her partner, and two year old son. Britt is very familiar with early stages of parenting, pregnancy, and all that comes with that, as she is in the thick of it herself. Britt also has a love for animals, and has a dog and two cats at home. She is a life long learner and loves to hear new perspectives. She also really loves spending time outside and tending to her plants. Lastly, Britt is very much an introvert - you can most often find her reading science fiction or fantasy books if she is not working or spending time with her family. Britt tends to be the best fit for clients who appreciate a very authentic (and a little quirky) but compassionate therapist, who aims to "keep it real."
